What Is The Math Store?

What Is The Math Store? The Math Store tutoring center is a high-quality tutoring center that can help students from different levels of learning. The center offers tutoring for all age groups, with specialized learning methods and programming to match every student's needs. Students can choose which learning style they are most comfortable with and can have their test scores broken down according to specific learning styles so that they can focus on areas of their learning that will give them the best test score possible. When a student is in need of tutoring, they may not have the time to visit the Math Store in person, but many students find that it is still one of the best places to visit for tutoring. With tutoring centers like the Math Store, students get professional tutoring, even if it is only from a computer. There are programs that students can sign up for that will allow them to study at home while they receive tutoring, which can be the perfect way to have tutoring on the go.The Math Store is one of the top tutoring centers because of its tutors' professionalism and commitment to helping students succeed. In order to become a tutor, students must complete a proper training program. After that, students are sent to a New York City location for some in-person tutoring, or if they are already qualified, the tutors can also choose to work online. Many students like being tutored at home, as it is a convenient and cost-effective way to learn, and that is why the Math Store has created a program for students who want to work at home. The students that want to work at home can sign up for online tutoring with the tutors in New York City. The tutors there will come to the students' home, no matter where they live, and the tutors can check out the home computer system to see whether or not the student is ready to start working on an online course.Students can sign up for online tutoring by filling out a registration form online. They will then be sent a link f or a tutor chat, where they can ask any questions that they may have regarding online teaching. If a student is willing to pay the fee, then the tutor will come to the student's home and start working on their online course at home.Students can work through their online classes by themselves, but some students prefer to have a tutor to give them help and guidance in an online class. Most online tutoring programs will only allow students to work on two online courses at a time, but there are some programs that allow students to work on up to five online courses at a time. Students who only need help with one or two online courses can still receive this type of tutoring, but they will need to go to the New York City tutoring center in person. For online tutoring, students will be able to send their assignments and tests to the tutors and they will grade and send out the results. The tutors at the New York City tutoring center will then grade the student's assignments for feedback and s end the results to the students. They will even pick up the student's assignments from a computer at home and return them to the student.Students will also be able to sign up for an online program without having to find a tutor first. They can sign up and then get a virtual tutor when they need one, when they are working online, at home, or on the road. They will even be able to get unlimited online tutoring and be matched up with a tutor according to the student's personal learning style.

Solve My Math Problem

Solve My Math Problem Math has many branches and sub branches. Each branch has its own set of problems which can be solved using different mathematical properties, theorems and formulas. Algebra is one of the most important and prominent branches of mathematics. The study of algebra consists of solving for the known and unknown variables. There are different mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division which can be used to solve the problems according to the requirement. Example 1: Solve the equation 10(x 5) + 5(x + 5) at x = 3? Solution: Given equation is 10 (x 5) + 5 (x + 5). Here the variable is x; distributing the number in front of the braces. This gives 10 (x - 5) = 10 x 50; 5 (x + 5) = 5 x + 25. Combining the similar terms in the equation. This gives 10x 50 + 5x + 25 = 15 x 25. Substitute x = 3; 15(3) 25 = 20 Hence the solution is 20. Example 2: Simplify and solve for x in the equation 15 x + 5 = 80? Solution: Given equation is 15 x + 5 = 80. Here the unknown variable which needs to be solved for is x. First step: Subtract 5 on both sides of the given equation. (15 x + 5) - 5 = 80 - 5. This gives 15 x = 75. Now dividing both sided of the equation by 15.That is 15 x/ 15 = 75 / 15. Hence the solution is x = 5.

Get Lost in Indie Band Deckers Emotional Psychedelic Folk

Get Lost in Indie Band Deckers Emotional Psychedelic Folk Megan L. Indie-folk group Decker is a band on the move. When I called guitarist and singer Brandon Decker for an interview, he was signing the paperwork for a brand new van for the band. I think its the nicest vehicle Ive ever owned. Its gonna be very nice to not have to worry about being stranded roadside. Decker  admitted. And with their busy touring schedule, Decker needs reliable transportation now more than ever. I chatted with Decker  about his musical roots, his prolific songwriting, and the Wu Tang references  on his new album Patsy. TL: How did you get started in music? BD: My mom had great music taste and I grew up listening to vinyl records of Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys and stuff like that. I liked rock and roll at a young age and I enjoyed singing. So how it all came together for me is that Ive always enjoyed emotively singing music and I also enjoyed writing, more so just words, like prose and poetry and short stories. I started playing guitar in my late teens, just covers. I went through a really profoundly dark time in my mid-twenties, and when I came out of that I just wanted to write songs and Ive been trying to write songs ever since. You have written a lot of songs since then, in fact you have a few albums under your belt. Whats your process like when youre creating an album and has it changed since you started out? Ive done five albums in the last six years, and I dont know if I have a process. I dont mean to sound mysterious or something. I feel like my songs really come out of the ether. I never know when its gonna happen. I found that all my records tend to happen in these flurries. The pattern that Ive gotten into is you make an album and its exhausting and all encompassing. You go and you tour it for some length of time. Then the touring ends and you just start writing another one. All of a sudden Ill have this set of songs and go, this is it, and start recording. I dont know whatll happen. Ive been going so hard for so long I havent been able to write lately. Its really left-brain, right-brain. Being an artist of our stature which is so working-class and do it ourself, it requires a lot of right-brain functioning just to keep the wheels in motion. But Im looking forward to when this phase settles down for our most recent album that I feel really proud of and we worked really hard on, Im looking forward to not worrying about that stuff and being musical and artistic again instead of working. Yeah, you have to be a songwriter, a bandleader, a marketer, a business-person Oh I wear many hats! Of all those hats, its clear to me that youre a great songwriter, plus  you have some wonderful musicians in your band with you as well. How do you choose the people you work with? The number one requirement is that they have a pulse [laughs]. Kidding! They have to be able to put up with me. I tend to be in my own world sometimes. Really sensitive artists dont do well with me. But I feel like Ive got a very talented group of musicians playing with me and theyve all been playing with me a few years, with the exception of one singer who just joined us. My bass player is classically trained. The keyboard player and pianist is classically trained. She also teaches a ton of lessons and has her own studio. Same with my drummer, he is a percussionist and its his life, he teaches a lot (Ed. note: Deckers drummer Henri B. teaches drums, guitar, and songwriting with TakeLessons in Phoenix). I think its so many things, fate, destiny, and you wind up meeting these people. Its just like how you dont choose your family. When youre playing in a band with people they end up kind of becoming your family. So you have a new album, Patsy, out now, and a new video coming out soon. Im hearing a lot of gospel, folk, and soul, but also some Wu Tang references? Can you talk about that a little bit? I have this longtime friend and we always enjoyed our inside jokes, and definitely had a shared enthusiasm for ODB. One of the first songs written on the record, one of the more gospel sounding songs, was inspired by all these people where I live talking about me that I didnt even know, and I kinda started writing this song, and I dont even know how the ODB thing happened. It just happened. Obviously ODB is not a role model for life. But I feel like theres one thing about him, if you watch him, he didnt give a shit about much of anything. He was just in his own world. I felt like paying tribute to how necessary that is for all of us aspiring to put ourselves out there whether its artistically or anything. Its the way you have to learn to live. Ive seen your music described as psychedelic desert folk, and you live in Sedona which is a really special place. Are you really inspired by locations, nature, and where you live? I think so. I love Sedona. Im standing out in front of my house right now and I live under two mountains that I like to climb a lot, I live right by the trailheads. When I moved here in 2008, I dont think I would have considered myself so easily inspired by nature or anything, but I definitely believe that the lifestyle that is kind of fostered by living in this desert-mountain extremely unique place is. I dont know if I would say that it inspires me, but its fuel for my existence on a cellular level. I wouldnt live anywhere else. Youre about to head out on the road again. What are you going to be listening to on this tour? I dont know the answer to that. I put out a post on Facebook asking for recommendations and I got a lot of suggestions to check out. I just heard of this singer Angel Olsen, she has a record out called Burn Your Fire For No Witness and I guarantee that that will be happening on tour frequently. On our last tour the album of choice was Kendrick Lamar. We like to keep a good mix. Dont miss Decker when they come to your town! Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, or their website, and support independent artists. Interested in Private Lessons? Search thousands of teachers for local and live, online lessons. How to Study for the Writing Section of the GRE

How to Study for the Writing Section of the GRE Writing sections of standardized tests are perhaps the most difficult to prepare for, only because you never know exactly what you are going to be asked. Granted, you dont know specifically what math problems or English questions youll have to answer either, but at least you can study the basic concepts. When it comes to writing an essay, you can only prepare so much but there are ways to prepare, and it all begins with getting an understanding of what type of writing test you are facing. On the GRE, the writing section is formally referred to as the Analytical Writing section. As you could easily assume, this is because your writing tasks will be based solely on analysis. Exercise your mind to take on the reasoning behind issues, rather than simply describing or giving examples of them. You will not be writing any personal essays, making up any stories, or explaining historical events. This section is not about your knowledge of a subject; its about your ability to dissect a subject. After youve digested those key points, the next step is to understand what form your prompts will take. Again, you will not know word for word what the prompts are, but here is what you will know: they will be arguments. You will face two prompts and have to write an essay for each one, but you will only see one at a time. Although they will both be arguments, you will be asked to do something slightly different with each one. For one of the arguments, you will need to write an essay that demonstrates your stance on the issue. Dont spend time worrying over which side you take in the argument, because thats irrelevant. Your opinion cannot be graded as right or wrong its the way you back up that opinion that determines your score. You must develop a well-organized essay that demonstrates your understanding of the points and factors of the argument that were given to you in a logical way. If you are referring to points that do no exist in the prompt, you will not do well on this essay. Similarly, if your reasoning simply does not make sense, you will lose points as well. For the other argument, you will be asked to explain how well it is or is not supported. So, for this essay, you will not need to develop your own opinion on the argument. There will be one stance on the argument given and you will have to demonstrate what points in the statement do a good job supporting it, if any. Going along with that, you should also take this time to point out what reasoning was missing and how it could have helped the argument. Moreover, you can explain what questions are being left unanswered in this statement regarding the argument and why they need to be answered in order for the statement to be better supported. Finally, you must be ready for the time limit. You will have only thirty minutes to complete each essay, so be prepared to begin writing within the first couple of minutes. You will not have sufficient time to create a detailed outline, so dont waste time on it. Going through a few practice essays beforehand can be a good way to warm up your brain for this task but make sure you are following the time limit, or else that preparation is pointless. If you overcome the pressures of the time constraint and master the recognition of reasoning behind issues, you will be armed and ready to tackle this section of the GRE.

How to Teach Reading

How to Teach Reading The Method of Teaching Reading for Beginners ChaptersEncourage And MotivateTeach Them To PrepareGive Them Writing Tasks To DoEncourage Them To Read Widely“Of course I can read!”, one might say defensively.A lot of people take for granted the fact that they are able to read because in their view, practically everyone in the country has basic reading skills. However, if they knew how much of a multifaceted process reading actually is, I wonder if they would rethink the meaning of this word and be filled with awe about what their brains are faced with on a daily basis.Reading is a complex process that requires our brain to take on many functions at once. Photo credit: A Health Blog via Visual HuntIs The UK Really A Nation Of Readers? The Literacy Trust published statistics in the early 2010s which suggested that around 16% of adults in England (that is the equivalent of over 5 million over eighteens) were at that time 'functionally illiterate'. This means that they would have had the literacy levels of a child in primary school and would therefore not have had the academic ability to pass GCSE English exams like those still in situ today (the primary exam boards for English being AQA, OCR, Edexcel, among others).Adults possessing this poor level of literacy would have struggled to find employment which means that many of their choices in life would have been limited as a result. If they had gone on to have children, they may consequently have found it hard to support them financially and failed  to be able to help them with everyday tasks like homework. There are other benefits to reading well, too!Although it is hard to distinguish just how many people would be classed as illiterate in today's world, we can expect that this figure would have continued to increase. This is why it is so vital to introduce reading to children's lives at an early age and to never stop encouraging them to read, no matter how their interests develop. Studies have shown that by learning to read from an early age, children will g o on to become more fluent readers with improved attention spans.Although those with extremely poor reading levels may need to go back to school or hire a private tutor to accelerate them through the basics of English reading, those who have already acquired a set of basic skills but wish to improve on these can benefit from evening classes or online courses to help them to become more advanced readers.Find a good GCSE English tutor here.Simple tasks like story time can be a challenge for those with poor literacy. Photo credit: Neeta Lind via Visual HuntWhat Is Reading?Reading is a complex, ‘cognitive’ process which involves our brains decoding symbols (usually letters of the alphabet for English readers) and deriving meaning from the order in which they are structured. The act of reading requires a number of skills applied in combination - word recognition, comprehension, fluency and motivation â€" a lot of people don’t even realise they possess these attributes! If all of the above come into play when reading a very basic text, it is hard to imagine just how active our brains become when they are faced with an action-packed story to interpret. While making sense of the words before you, your brain will additionally be taking into account any known context, grasping the style of the text and noticing all other sorts of minute details presented between the lines. How can you get your children to read more?  Check out more about English tuition. As part of their Teaching English series, the British Council recommends a series of steps be taken when teaching beginners to read. Following along these lines, this article explores some of the different stages that teachers of English, particularly English Reading, can adopt to help learners explore different ways of developing improved reading skills. To build up their confidence and raise their own expectations of what they can achieve, teachers are advised to encourage students to read and write on a regular basis. Some pupils, however, despite having good intentions, struggle with focus so course leaders would be wise to set reading tasks to be completed before the next class, yet ensuring that these targets are achievable for all. By keeping class activities fun and engaging, pupils will be more likely to want to keep up with their reading and be able to join in.Poetry is a fantastic way to motivate reluctant readers!  Get some help for English on here.In addition, you might like to ask members of your class to start or join a monthly book club, to make reading a much bigger part of their lives. The benefits of book clubs are that every reader offers their distinct take on a chapter and can help to make others realise how differently one person can interpret a book from another. The pupils will also gain an insight into other people’s lives, read stories that they wouldn’t otherwise have chosen to read and perhaps even make new friends who share the same passions and likes. Also, some books just need to be discussed â€" have you ever read a book and been desperate to talk about it with someone who has read it, but can’t find anyone that has?!Motivation is vital to encouraging students to be more active with their reading. While some are only passive readers, explaining what they can gain from being a skilled reader could influence the way they approach the task. For instance, talk passionately about a previous reading experience that has stayed with you could and this positive ener gy could rub off on your class.Any keen reader will agree that there is no better feeling than reading a really amazing book, unable to put it down but equally not wanting it to ever end. A character in one of George R. R. Martin’s novels says “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies […]. The man who never reads lives only one.”. Your goal as a teacher is to make your pupils want to experience this fondness for reading themselves. You may find kinship with characters in literary works!Teach Them To PrepareAn important stage in the process of learning to read  better is knowing how to prepare to read. Scientists have proven that we are much more perceptive if we take the time to prepare before reading a text. Just like with physical tasks, such as running a race, we must do warm up exercises.First of all, ask your students to ask themselves why they are about to read the text, as the reason that we read has a big effect on how we read.Being clear on the purpose of readi ng, whether it is to find details or to be entertained, can be surprisingly helpful in understanding the text and remembering details in what you read. After all, active reading means reading that involves thinking, engaging and retaining as a direct result of having a particular purpose.Moving on, you should instruct your readers to enter the ideal state for reading, to allow them to relax and maintain alertness during the task at hand. For most people, this means eliminating any distractions like mobile phones, background noise or music. Then, it is important for the reader to become aware of themselves and mentally remind themselves of their purpose before setting about the task.Get ready for your reading adventure with this helpful guide!Dyslexic readers are said to have difficulty focusing on a point of attention, while skilled readers are quite the opposite. Training oneself to redirect his or her attention, whether suffering from  dyslexia or not, could raise the pupil’s re ading level. Visualisation techniques, one of which is known as the ‘tangerine technique’ can help these passive readers to be more aware of certain points in space.Finding a place of inner peace can help you to prepare for reading. Photo via VisualHuntGive Them Writing Tasks To DoReading is often taught alongside writing, as the two skills are very closely linked for obvious reasons. Getting learners to face writing tasks and learn how to follow processes required for writing can change the way they think about both how they read and write. For instance, ask your class to come up with short stories for different audiences or with different themes to help raise their awareness of the details required in writing. If they have never attempted to write before then they may develop a renewed respect for how writers present information to readers.Giving them writing prompts may additionally help them to delve deeper into their imaginations, and further understand what it means to try to illustrate a meaning using only words. Being on the other side is one of the best ways to get them be more perceptive and thus become more skilled as they themselves read content.Encourage Them To Read WidelyFinally, introducing learners to a wide range of genres and writing styles can help as they practice their reading, as it will let them see that different types of texts engage with their audiences in different ways. For example, the experience of reading instructions is very different to that of reading a romance novel. If your learners have preconceptions about the types of texts they would like to read, attempt to take them out of their comfort zone and  ask them to give a wide spectrum of writing a try. After all, inexperienced readers can't possibly know what they like and dislike. On the other hand, don't be too harsh on your learners as if a novice begins to feel disheartened during the learning process, then they could lose their determination and willpower altogether.F ollow these suggestions for becoming an active reader!

Online Even Number List Tutors

Online Even Number List Tutors Even number list is the list of all even numbers. Even numbers are those numbers which can be divided by two. In this case the remainder will always be zero. For example the series 2, 4, 6 are all even umbers, because these numbers are perfectly divisible by 2. List of even numbers are infinite. This topic can be better clarified by taking suitable examples. The suitable examples are as follows:- Question 1:- On division of 48 by 3, what is the quotient and remainder. And also tell us whether the obtained quotient is even or odd. Solution 1:- On dividing 48 by 3 we get the following:- Quotient = 16 Remainder = 0 Since 16 is divisible by 2 , therefore quotient which is equal to 16 is even number. Question 2:- On division of 300 by 2, what is the quotient and remainder. And also tell us whether the obtained quotient is even or odd. Solution 2:- On dividing 300 by 2 we get the following:- Quotient = 150 Remainder = 0 Since 150 is divisible by 2 , therefore quotient which is equal to 150 is even number. Question 3:- On division of 73 by 2, what is the quotient and remainder. And also tell us whether the obtained quotient and remainder is even or odd. Solution 3:- On dividing 73 by 2 we get the following:- Quotient = 36 Remainder = 1 Since 36 is divisible by 2 , therefore quotient which is equal to 36 is even number. Also remainder =1 is an odd function, as it is not divisible by 2

Five Tips for Successful MCAT Prep Part 1

Five Tips for Successful MCAT Prep Part 1 MCAT Medical School Admissions The MCAT is a beast of an exam â€" there’s no way around it â€" and for many of you, it will also likely be your first real challenge academically, in terms of necessary preparation, exam intensity and sheer volume of subject matter. It won’t be easy, regardless of your IQ or SAT scores, but with a little bit of assistance and a whole lot of dedication, it is absolutely doable and within your reach. If you’ve made it this far in school, progressing through the pre-med curriculum, you certainly have what it takes to make it into medical school and beyond. The issue now is how do you make the most of your abilities and the time you have to study between now and testing day? There are a host of answers â€" some better than others â€" and separating the wheat from the chaff can sometimes seem daunting. Below we consider the first three of five recommendations, offered with confidence that some or all may prove helpful in your studies and preparation. Check back in a week for the final two recommendations: #1 Know Your Strengths and Weaknesses Very few students are completely well prepared across the board. As human beings, we all have different aptitudes and innate capabilities that make us uniquely suited for various tasks, including studying. Unless you’re one of the lucky few geniuses who effortlessly knows everything expertly and equally well, you should have an idea by now as to which subjects or topics are easier or harder for you to learn and master. Use this knowledge to your advantage when deciding on your division of labor. If biology has always been a snap for you, and chemistry still befuddles you, then slant your time and priorities towards those areas that need it most. For me, physics and verbal were well under control (an odd mix, I know), so I tended to stress the other areas more heavily. To be certain, you cannot get away with completely neglecting any one area or only working on another (unless you fit the envied category above). But since all the questions are worth the same amount, and the test makers probably do their best to evenly distribute from among the major disciplines, why not use probability and the law of averages in your favor? A good balance of knowledge will almost definitely serve you better on this test than will being a standout in one area, at the expense of others. #2 Use Mnemonics The advice is simple: use any device, of any sort, that will aid you in remembering all the information required. It absolutely does not matter what it is that works for you, as long as it works. And the more personalized (and perhaps even humorous) you can make it, the better. A common mnemonic is of course the acronym, where each letter stands for a different word/phrase/concept that must be recalled as part of a group or sequence. But acronyms merely scratch the surface of all the possible ways to wander with these tools. Whether it involves songs, literature, pop culture references, family traditions or any number of other potential wells of connection, use these devices to your advantage whenever and wherever possible. Quite simply, it is the best possible way to efficiently memorize a lot of information that is otherwise unbelievably boring to you. Their effectiveness lies in making connections between this material and things that you might possibly care about enough to remember in your ordinary life. And in general, the funnier and wackier the mnemonic, the more memorable it becomes. #3 Read the Answers First Both during preparation and on the real exam, and particularly with questions based on passages, read the answers before you read the questions. Sounds bizarre, but it works. Doing so will give you an idea of what they’re looking for prior to ever reading the question, and it often allows you to predict the question entirely. This gives you a practical advantage as well as a psychological one. Hopefully, considering the actual question will be a necessary afterthought once you’ve perused the possible responses, but it will certainly give you a head start regardless. But perhaps more importantly, a bit of success with this method begins to offer a distinct edge in terms of confidence. And as we all know, that can carry you quite a distance in the test-taking world. We hope you enjoyed these first three MCAT tips. Stay tuned for our final two tips in the coming weeks. A-Level students explore Chemistry at UCL

A-Level students explore Chemistry at UCL Every year the Tutorfair Foundation runs a Chemistry Enrichment Programme for A-Level students at the UCL Chemistry Department.   The event took place over two days in March and  gave pupils the chance to explore Chemistry outside of the classroom. 164 students and 8 staff members from 10 schools took part in the programme. The day started with a gripping lecture on the 3 kinds of spectroscopy (IR, MS, and NMR), led by Dr. Robert Palgrave. The Chemistry lab session After the lecture, students undertook a spectroscopy investigation in the laboratories (the highlight of the event!).
